Just when lakhs of aspirants across Bihar were set to fill out their application forms today (September 1β2), the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) announced that the TRE 4.0 registration has been postponed.
The new registration window will now begin on September 21, 2026.
Alongside this delay, the state government announced key changesβincluding shifting to a single-phase exam structure to address student demands regarding fairness and transparency.
1. Revised TRE 4.0 Dates:
Online applications for the 32,388 teacher vacancies will now open on September 21 on bpsc.bih.nic.in.
2. Single-Phase Exam Format:
The administration confirmed that TRE 4.0 will be conducted in a single phase to streamline the process and prevent normalization issues.
3. District Job Fairs Active (Sept 1-5):
While exam calendars shift, local private-sector job drives are ongoing this week in districts like Madhepura, Lakhisarai, Purnia, Munger, and Saharsa.
We appreciate the shift toward a single-phase exam to ensure fairness. However, every postponement creates a ripple effect:
– Rent and Expense Strain: Thousands of aspirants staying in student hubs like Musallahpur Haat and Nayatola in Patna pay monthly rent and mess fees while waiting for exam dates.
– Session Overlaps: Postponing dates means overlapping schedules with other state and central competitive exams.
– The Trust Deficit: Repeated calendar shifts drain the mental energy of candidates who prepare according to initial deadlines.
– Does a single-phase exam restore your confidence in the process?
– How does another 20-day registration delay affect your preparation schedule?
